Autumn 1 - Trips and Experiences
At the end of last year, we were reviewing our Personal Development offer and a lot of work has been put into place to look at how to enrich your child’s experiences. We are aware that due to rising costs, impacting both home and school budgets, that we have to drastically revise what we offer.
Our goal is to provide all children with rich experiences but also making it cost effective. This year, we have started to revise our offer to reduce costs which involves bringing experiences / visitors into school and reducing the need for coach travel which is sometimes 75% of the cost of the trip.
We hope this School Visits Newsletter will give parents a greater understanding of what our trips involve and what value they bring to your child's education and personal development. Going forwards we will be sending out a School Visits newsletter each half term so you can see what your children and children in other year groups have been experiencing. This will also help in future years as your child moves through the school to know what the trips will entail.
Ms Watkins along with our teachers have been busy planning some exciting trips, visitors and activities for the school year, some of which have taken place last half term. In order for these plans to go ahead we do need all parents, who are able, to contribute. It will be very helpful for our planning to let us know if you will have difficulty in making payments when the initial requests go out. You can contact us via the Office email or arrange a meeting with the School Business Manager or Head teacher if you would prefer to discuss the matter confidentially. This will help us budget effectively, reducing the impact on other resources, and by working together it will mean we can make the most of all activities/trips etc available to our children.
