Extreme Bike Show
The Oaks Primary School competed in ‘The Big Pedal’ competition in March and after a fantastic effort by so many children, parents and staff, we came first in both Crawley and West Sussex!
We won this by earning points for the number of journeys being made by us all to school by bike and scooter.
The competition is run annually by SUSTRANS, a countrywide organisation promoting sustainable transport, and supported in Crawley by Crawley Borough Council.
The Oaks Primary School celebrated their prize with everyone enjoying a brilliant performance by 'The Extreme Mountain Bike Show'. The children were entertained by stunts, jumps and daring balancing acts by the rider, Danny Butler.
