Christmas Single "I can't wait for Christmas!"

EXCITING NEWS!

Some of the children at the Oaks have been working hard rehearsing as they will be recording a Christmas Single!!! To follow are some photos from our recent rehearsals and details from the press release.

The single will be available for download from the 27th November and all proceeds will be going to Make a Wish Foundation.

"I CAN'T WAIT FOR CHRISTMAS!"

Song: The song was written by John Hedley-Cheney and Martyn Wood, who have been writing songs together for the past 6 years.

They met whilst working at Gatwick Airport, and have performed Christmas Concerts for the Airport. Martyn 60, is still employed as a Security Officer at Gatwick, whilst John 59, being an accomplished musician is entertaining at different venues across West Sussex.

Choir: The song is being performed by The Oaks Primary School children's choir. Headteacher Alan Gunn and music teacher Gemma Sandow are thrilled that the children who are aged from 6-11years can be part of such a wonderful giving experience.

Recording: The song was recently recorded at our local secondary school, Thomas Bennett Community College which has its own Recording studio on site.

Thanks go to Ann Connell and Phil Dobson who head the music department there for their experience and expertise in providing an exceptional recording of the song.

Videoing: David Sterley who is based in Rustington is providing the video of this song. David has over 17 years experience in videoing weddings and corporate events and gladly offered his time and professional know how to produce the outstanding video that will be available to view on You tube.

The Charity: Make A Wish is a wonderful charity that grants magical wishes to enrich the lives of children and young people fighting life threatening conditions. So who better to sing for these Children than Children themselves.
